Joe Morello is soooo fantastic.
So light, airy and playful. 😀✨
I listen to Take Five more than once a week, each time I get something new from it! Excellent
ESTUPENDO BRUBECK Y DESMOND EL MEJOR SAXSO
Joe est un spectacle fabuleux à lui seul.
Buddy was maybe faster and flashier, but Morello’s rudiment usage and sticking technique is unmatched.
🤓🥁👍🏼
Absolutely amazing
I love how the ads happen right in the middle of the solo. I'm being sarcastic of course.
This is the Joe Morello, who I remember as a little kid. He swung and delivered a Swinging Drum Solo. One of the Top Greats. Thank You for sharing this. Brings back great memories.
That left hand has a mind of its own.
Joe Morello es un heroe.
We
Joe Morello & Ludwig Drums = Fucking genius !!!
Wonderful! Where did you find this? Possibly one of the best recorded visuals of the greatest of his quartets. It is also possibly the only time Brandenburg Gate was recorded (on film, I assume) by the quartet live. Do you have more? Great job Jan. Harry PATON EVANS Book of Dreams Music (England)
Hey, you guys, what do the numbers on your comments mean? Sorry for being ignorant. Great stuff!
Joe Morello was a Monstah
.....and great camera work.
I can't hit enough "likes" for these comments that say things much better than me. I'm proud to be in that company.
Morello > Buddy Rich
Agreed😊
Fantastic
A great jazz number makes you feel real good jazz does not get any better than this Chris taylor
Desmond.
The best drummer ever!
Perfection and beyond!
Buddy Rich once said “who needs 6 or 8 drums, if you can’t play 4”, or something like that! Well, if you can play 4 drums, and do it better than anybody, you must be Joe Morello!
His finest solo, better than take five…totally musical with technique…..
Comping lesson @ 2:50
It doesnt get smoother
3:24-3:43
3:42-3:59
By FAR the most underrated drummer of all time. Top 5 easy. Buddy, Philly, Tony, Joe, Art in no order. I’d put Steve Smith in there too
❤
Джо,Великий музыкант!Звук потрясающий!!
WOW! That is all I can say. Morello was one of the best ever!
irre
More talent in his crazy left hand then all of me who's played drums for years.
That left hand is a thing of beauty.
5:35 the stick flips. Dude was a beast!
Hey Shitbag! Don't come and dump your excrement on my channel again!
No Morello…No Bonham
No Blakey no Morello
HTF does he not drop a stick???
Is this Jazz? Real Jazz? Yes, it is! 😮
All about the left hand. Those double stroke rolls too. Pity the camera work detracts from being able to view the techniques.
That left hand separates decent drummers from truly great ones. Joe is at another level. Virtuoso.
Did he almost lose the stick?
Unreal..what an absolute legend 🙏
Wow what a drummer!!!
Hey Jan! Love your channel with all the Dave Brubeck Quartet content. I love Desmond so much. Do you happen to know how to get hands on this full production since it seems to have also interviews with the band (including Desmond) which I'd love to see/hear. On the Dave Brubeck page this is listed as a docu production, but not as available anywhere...
私にとってはレイマッキンレイ、マックス・ローチそしてジョーモレレロあこがれのドラマーです。
The camera work is quite annoying
The cameras controller was on amphetamines 😂
I love Joe’s look back in the 1960s. He looked more like a aeronautical engineer for Lockheed Martin then a JAZZ (?!) MUSICIAN
Thinking the same thing. NASA Mission Control
@@stevedallas3488 : yeah, you’re right!
